James McCarthy says Wigan have to pick themselves up for a big game at Norwich after dropping more points against QPR.
Latics had to come from behind as they drew 2-2 with Harry Redknapp's men at the DW Stadium but McCarthy says it still felt like two dropped points after they carved out numerous chances but failed to take them.
McCarthy grabbed both goals at the weekend but says he would have happily given them up in exchange for the three points he feels they deserved from the game.
Next up is a tough match against Norwich, who won at Swansea on Saturday, before games against Arsenal, Everton and Manchester United over the festive period.
"We've had a few disappointing results recently but the performance was certainly good enough to pick up all three points," McCarthy insisted.
"It gives us something to build on now going into the Norwich game, and hopefully we can kick on into the festive period.
"Hopefully we'll have a few players back from injury and suspension because we've got some big games coming up and we'll need everyone available.
"Things haven't been going our way in that sense but the boys have been brilliant and everyone who's come in has done really well."
