New boy set for Latics bow

WiganSummer signing Amr Zaki is set to make his debut for Wigan on Saturday in the pre-season friendly at Sheffield Wednesday.

The 25-year-old, who moved to the JJB from Zamalek last month, has now recieved his international clearance and should play against the Championship side, having missed the midweek clash with Barnsley.

Steve Bruce is keen to get the Egyptian international to play as soon as possible to get some match action under his belt before the start of the new campaign.

Meanwhile another summer signing, Olivier Kapo, will play after missing the Barnsley game with a knock. Titus Bramble is expected to replace the injured Paul Scharner in the heart of the defence.
