Wilson Palacios says Wigan Athletic boss Steve Bruce will have the squad feeling positive and prepared to bounce back at Anfield.

The Latics were stunned by Middlesbrough's late winner at the JJB Stadium last weekend, but the Honduran midfielder knows his manager is an expert at picking teams up and getting ready to play at the big stadiums in the Premiership.

He said: "Liverpool seems a long way off at the moment because we have the international matches in between, but I know Steve will have us ready for Anfield.

"We will approach the game in the same way that we did when I was with Birmingham and I'm sure he did in January.

"He always just tells us to believe in ourselves and not to have the mentality of being beaten before we even enter the stadium.

"The great thing about football is that there is always another game around the corner, another chance to get over the disappointment of losing. We are a very positive team and I'm sure we will bounce back very quickly."
