Royals first up for Latics

Last Updated: Wed, 18 Jun 2014 09:09

Wigan will begin the new Sky Bet Championship season with a home game against Reading on August 9.

The visit of the Royals is followed by successive away fixtures at Charlton (August 16) and Cardiff (August 19) before Blackpool and Birmingham head to the DW Stadium.

Latics head over the Pennines to Leeds on Boxing Day and face Yorkshire opposition again two days later when Sheffield Wednesday are the visitors.

The season ends on May 2 with an away game against manager Uwe Rosler's former club Brentford.
