Wigan chairman Dave Whelan believes boss Roberto Mancini will stay at the club this summer after leading them to FA Cup glory.
Martinez has been heavily linked with the managerial vacancy at Everton as the Merseysiders need a replacement for the Manchester United-bound David Moyes.
However, after landing the club's first major trophy when Latics beat Manchester City against the odds in Saturday's FA Cup final, Whelan is confident the highly-rated Spanish coach will decide to stay.
"Roberto will make his own mind up. Roberto consistently says 'I love Wigan, I will stay with Wigan'," Whelan said.
"When the time comes he will leave for a big club, I have no doubt about that. But I think he might just stay with Wigan."
Whelan knows they must now turn their attention on staying up ahead of two huge games this week at Arsenal and then at home to Aston Villa next Sunday.
He added: "We have two massive games. Last night they went home and knew they had to go straight to bed. We have a big game on Tuesday and a massive game on Sunday.
"The boys are dedicated to the massive task of keeping Wigan in the Premier League. The big fight is to stay up."
