Wigan have winger Ryo Miyaichi available for Saturday's trip to Liverpool but James McArthur remains doubtful.
Miyaichi, on loan from Arsenal, has not been involved in the last five games due to injury but is now training with the group again and boss Roberto Martinez is hopeful he will be available for the short trip to Anfield.
McArthur, however, has been sidelined recently by a dead leg and is a doubt although he will be given every chance to prove his fitness in the lead-up to the clash and could yet feature.
Elsewhere, midfielder Albert Crusat (knee) and defender Antolin Alcaraz (groin) are not yet ready to return but Martinez still has a virtually fully-fit squad to choose from.
The Latics boss, who was targeted by the Reds in the summer as a potential candidate to replace the sacked Kenny Dalglish, will be trying to mastermind another victory at Liverpool after last season's 2-1 triumph.
