Duo return boost

WolvesMick McCarthy is set for a defensive boost with the expected return of Jody Craddock and Matt Hill to training next week.

The Wolves boss has had to manage without the pair as Craddock has not figured since breaking his foot on August 16 and Hill has yet to make his debut for the club after injuring medial ligaments in training just after his move from Preston.

McCarthy told the expressandstar: "I'd think Jody and Matt will be back in full training on Monday.

"His foot is OK but he was jogging the other day and went over slightly on his other ankle but that's not a problem. I watched him running and he will be available to us next week.

"I watched Matt yesterday morning and he was twisting, turning and kicking balls

"He's progressing so by Monday, we're hopeful he will be training. If not, it might be two or three days, but that's all.

"We haven't really had him available yet so it's good to have another first team squad member back and fit, because we know he can play.

"They won't be ready to play but we've got a lot of games coming up in a short space of time and to have them back training will make a difference."
