McCarthy makes skipper decision

WolvesMick McCarthy has revealed that Jody Craddock will be Wolves' new club captain, with Karl Henry acting as deputy.

The former Sunderland defender has been handed the armband following Gary Breen's summer departure from Molineux, and will lead the team out at Plymouth on Saturday.

McCarthy admitted the choice had been between Craddock and Henry, who is next in line to take up the captaincy should Craddock be missing.

The Wolves boss told the club's website: "Jody will be club captain so when playing in the team he'll be captain. And that means that he'll be captain at Plymouth.

"If he's ever not available then Karl Henry will have the job.

"Both of them have done it before and are good characters who lead by example.

"Jody has got masses of experience both at this level and above and is very well respected by the rest of the squad."
