McCarthy to recall big guns

WolvesSylvan Ebanks-Blake, Matt Jarvis, Sam Vokes and Andy Keogh are all set to be fit for Wolves' clash with Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

Striker Ebanks-Blake and midfielder Jarvis missed the Carling Cup penalty shoot-out defeat at League Two Rotherham on Tuesday due to respective foot and hip problems. However they will be back in the side on Saturday, while striker Vokes should also feature after missing the cup match with a training ground injury suffered on Monday.

Keogh was withdrawn after the first half of the Millers clash at the Don Valley Stadium with an upset stomach, but he has now recovered sufficiently to play at Molineux.

Full-back George Elokobi faces a lengthy lay-off due to a knee injury picked up at Ipswich last weekend, while defender Jody Craddock remains a long-term injury concern with a broken foot.

Boss Mick McCarthy admitted he will have a surprise up his sleeve as to who will play in the left-back spot vacated by Elokobi.

He told the Express & Star: "I've got a secret weapon up my sleeve but I'm hardly likely to tell you what it is.

"Otherwise, I might as well pick up the phone, ring Colin Caldwerwood and tell him what my team is."
