Wolves complete defender deal

WolvesWolves defender Michael Gray insists he was always going to re-sign for the Molineux outfit this summer.

The veteran full-back fell out of contract at the end of last season but trained with the club during the summer and has now extended his stay for at least one more season.

"Even though my contract was up, I always felt a part of things since we got back at the beginning of July," Gray told the club's website.

"Mick [McCarthy] is a man of his word and I always knew I was going to sign. It was making sure things were right for myself."

Gray, who has three England caps, joined Wolves 12 months and counts Sunderland and Blackburn as his former clubs, while has has also spent time on loan at Celtic and Leeds.
