Wolves defender Ronald Zubar has declared himself fit and ready to make his Premier League bow and is targeting the Everton clash.
The £2.5m signing from Marseille has stepped up his efforts of late in training and he also shone for the reserves last week and boss Mick McCarthy thinks he is ready and so does the player himself now.
There is a possibility the defender could come in on the left, where Wolves have had their problems, on Saturday and he appears happy to play almost anywhere in order to get up and running.
He told the Express and Star: "If I'm picked for Everton, I'll be ready. There's a lot of competition, and it's not my decision on who plays.
"But for me, I'm ready now. I've spoken with the gaffer and he's happy with me. We have a very good squad of players and there are a lot of games. But I'm ready and I'm sure there will be opportunities for me.
"I know the Premier League is fast, but the Championship and even League One are the same - everything in English football is very quick. But I like it. I am quick myself and I know what the gaffer wants from me.
"I play centre-back, but I can also play right-back or left-back or even midfield. I also played two games in centre midfield when I was at Caen. I've spoken to the gaffer and to Terry Connor a lot and now I understand English more too.
"I understand what they want."
