Wolves striker Chris Iwelumo is pushing for a return to the starting line up against Stoke and Stefan Maierhofer is also available.

Both strikers are likely to have to settle for a place on the bench as boss Mick McCarthy is almost certain to keep faith with Kevin Doyle and Sylvan Ebanks-Blake upfront.

Scottish international Iwelumo has finally returned to action after being out since April with an injury and then breaking a foot in pre-season but after a substitute appearance last week he is now pushing for a place in the starting line up.

Maierhofer is available after being sent off at Everton and on-loan Chelsea central defender Michael Mancienne is available after missing the last two games through illness.
