Halford on survival battle

Greg Halford says the season will be defined in the matches against Bolton, Burnley and Blues and not the likes of Chelsea.

Wolves' versatile Halford says the battle against relegation will be won against the sides close to them in the table and not against the big sides pushing for Champions League football.

Wolves are firmly in a relegation battle after successive defeats to Arsenal and Chelsea, but Halford says no one expects them to get points form those matches and it is the ones against the sides around them that counts.

"Teams like Chelsea, Man U, Arsenal and Liverpool aren't going to make or break your season," he said.

"Playing against teams like Birmingham, Portsmouth and the teams around you, that's where we have to be picking up points.

"But if we can nick a few points off the top teams, then that'll be great as well."
