Mick McCarthy refused to publicly condemn his players after their Cup exit to Crystal Palace but has promised to 'sort it out'.
The Wolves boss was fuming after watching his side lose 3-1 at Selhurst Park and go out of the FA Cup thanks to a seven-minute hat-trick from Danny Butterfield.
McCarthy has promised to have it sorted out before the crunch clash with Birmingham at the weekend.
"I'm not going to defend what I've just seen but I'm not going to condemn the players publicly," he said.
"I'm going to congratulate Palace and in doing so I'm probably telling you what I think of our performance.
"Palace made it into a Cup tie and it looked like they wanted it more than us - they've beaten us and beaten us well.
"It was fully deserved and a good performance by them.
"I'm not going to sit here and condemn my team, I've just done that to them personally in the dressing room.
"I've had my pound of flesh in there and I'm going to have another one when we get back into training on Thursday.
"We'll sort it out between us, I will have my discussions behind closed doors with the lads."
