Wolves have signed Marseille defender Ronald Zubar on a four-year deal and he could soon be joined by Bobo Balde at Molineux.

Zubar, 23, has been snapped up for an undisclosed fee amid strong competition from a host of other clubs to make it six signings so far during the close season for boss Mick McCarthy.

And the club's seventh swoop could be former Celtic star Balde, who is now out of contract and has linked up with Wanderers for the pre-season trip to Australia.

Balde has long been linked with Birmingham but his wages have always proved to be a stumbling block.
