Wolves midfielder Dave Edwards is delighted to have become the latest player to commit his long-term future to the club.
The midfielder signed a new three-year deal on Monday and he follows in the footsteps of Kevin Foley, Karl Henry and Sylvan Ebanks-Blake, who have all signed on for the next four years.
"I'm delighted to sign the new contract," Edwards told the Express and Star. "It's something that had been on-going over the summer but with holidays and international duty it's just taken a bit of time to get sorted. It's great to get it done on the first day of pre-season.
"To know I'm going to be here for another three years and that the manager wants me here is something I'm very proud of particularly having come here from a lower-league club.
"Signing a contract to go into the Premier League is something I have to pinch myself about if I look back over the last three or four years. I'm certainly not taking anything for granted, though, and feel very privileged to be in the position I'm in."
