Fulham have joined the race to sign Wolves target Christophe Berra - who was outstanding for Hearts on Saturday.

Fulham boss Roy Hodgson is eyeing a replacement for in-demand Brede Hangeland and likes the look of Scotland international Berra - Hearts' young captain who led by outstanding example in the Edinburgh club's 2-1 triumph over Rangers.

But Wolves boss Mick McCarthy could resurrect his interest after narrowly failing with a bid in the summer while Feyenoord are also being touted for a raid on Tynecastle for the 23-year-old who made his international bow in May this year.

"If players are doing well, then you will create speculation," Berra told the Daily mail.

"But there's no point dwelling on the past - the Wolves move didn't happen in the summer and that's life.

"I'm still only 23 and want to improve as a player. That means working hard in training and in games. I feel I have been doing that.

"No matter who I play for in the future, I will always give 100 per cent. I always want to be the best I can be."
