Wolves are being linked with a January move for Bolton veteran Kevin Davies who is finding first team opportunities rare.

The 34-year-old is out of contract at Bolton at the end of the season and, with him rarely picking up a first team start this season, could probably be picked up for a snip.

McCarthy is looking to add to his squad and take the pressure of top scorer Steven Fletcher, but with Bolton stuck down at the foot of the table their boss Owen Coyle could be reluctant to sell such a fans' favourite.
