Michael Kightly says there are a vast amount of reasons why they are facing the drop but it's mainly because they are not good enough.

Wolves could be all but down this weekend if they lose to Sunderland and other results go aginst them but if it is not this weekend then it is likely to be in the near future as they are nine points adrift of safety with just five games to go.

Kightly says they have not been good enough but he hopes the core of Terry Connor's side can be kept together.

Kightly, who is likely to be on the shopping list of many Premier League clubs if Wolves are relegated, said: "We just haven't been good enough this season. There are a million and one reasons probably why we haven't been good enough.

"It is a number of things. It is not for me to say. But, as a team and as a club, we haven't been good enough this year and we are all gutted about that."
