Winger linked with exit

Wolves winger Adam Hammill is a target for fellow strugglers Wigan after falling down the pecking order at Molineux.

The 23-year-old only joined the club a year ago when Mick McCarthy snapped him up from Barnsley for £500,000 but he has found regular first- team football hard to come by and Wigan, who were one of the club's who wanted him a year ago, are ready to make a move again.

It is highly unlikely that McCarthy will sell any of his first-team squad while they are in a battle against the drop and especially to a relegation rival, unless Wigan make an offer which is seen as too good to turn down, which does not look on the cards at the moment.
