Chris Iwelumo will miss Wolves' clash against Arsenal at Molineux on Saturday after suffering a recurrence of a metatarsal problem.

The Scotland international striker made his first appearance of the campaign in last Saturday's 2-2 draw at Stoke after recovering from a fractured metatarsal during the club's pre-season build up. And, while Iwelumo has not suffered another break on his top-flight debut at the Britannia Stadium, he is facing another four weeks on the sidelines.

Boss Mick McCarthy will recall last season's top scorer Sylvan Ebanks-Blake to the starting XI against the Gunners after he was dropped for last week's game at Stoke. However, he claims that the player was always going to be in the side regardless of Iwelumo's injury problem.

"Sylvan was always playing against Arsenal, whether Chris was injured or not," said McCarthy. "He was left out purely tactically at Stoke."
