Wolves are set to make a final offer of around £5m for the services of Stephen Hunt and are also keen on Everton's James Vaughan.

Wolves boss Mick McCarthy has a couple of main transfer targets and Hunt apparently tops the list of wanted players, he has had three offers turned down but is ready with one final bid.

Tigers boss Phil Brown is keen to keep Hunt for the relegation battle ahead but a large enough offer may take the decision out of his hands.

Meanwhile young Everton striker Vaughan is also being linked with the club as Everton boss David Moyes considers allowing him to move away from Goodison Park.

There had been a deal in place between Everton and Derby for Vaughan but now McCarthy may look to try and jump ahead of the Rams in the queue for his services.
