Gareth Ainsworth hailed Wycombe as they beat high-flying Fleetwood 1-0 to claim their third consecutive victory.
On-loan QPR youngster Bruno Andrade scored the only goal of the game after just nine minutes to hand the caretaker boss a crucial three points.
Ainsworth was delighted with the performance, in particular the way his players had stuck with the game plan.
He said: "It's easy to motivate but to see the tactics come out and working so well is fantastic.
"We've worked very hard on the training ground over the past few weeks and we're seeing that come to fruition.
"We could have scored a few. We like to hit teams on the counter and we've done that. Bruno scored a great goal but there were plenty of other chances. It was a superb performance."
