Driver lands Glovers trial

Yeovil have taken former Hearts winger Andy Driver on trial.

The 26-year-old will spend the near future training with the Sky Bet Championship side to build up his fitness having not played competitively since leaving Houston Dynamo in November after a successful nine months in the US.

"Andrew has joined us for a little while," Yeovil boss Gary Johnson told the Edinburgh News. "I know him quite well from his Hearts days, when my son Lee played there. He's just come back from America and probably needs a couple of weeks to get fit. It's too early to talk about anything more than that.

"There haven't been any talks about him signing here or anything like that. Andrew hasn't played for a little while. I think November was his last game.

"We all know he is a quality player when he's right. We just need to see if we've got that time. There isn't a time limit on this, we're having a chat every day and taking it from there."
