Yeovil manager Gary Johnson hailed his side's second-half comeback as they beat Preston 3-1 at Huish Park.

Second-half goals from James Hayter, Nathan Ralph and Paddy Madden overturned Chris Beardsley's first-half opener to a secure a win which keeps them within touching distance of the play-off spots.

He said: "We went 1-0 down and we gave Preston a little carrot but we felt that if we keep going and got the equaliser, we could go on and win the game.

"We had to be very committed out there, we had to be strong and patient. There was a lot of time-wasting going on at 1-0.

"It was a fantastic result because it's a result against a team that is fighting for their lives.

"Not too many people in the crowd got upset when we were behind and kept behind the lads.

"Nathan Ralph and Lewis Young have spent five months in the gym working so hard with two really bad injuries so it was fantastic to see them back and creating chances.

"We have been using this word a lot recently but we're proud of the lads because the work-rate they need to produce to win games is unbelievable."
