Yeovil striker Paddy Madden has been named as the League One player of the month for January.

The Irishman, the division's top goalscorer, scored six goals in his side's three games during the month to beat Swindon's Wes Foderingham and Doncaster's Rob Jones to the award.

Madden's spectacular month began with a double against Leyton Orient on New Year's Day before scoring twice against Sheffield United and then MK Dons.

The striker originally signed on loan from fellow League One side Carlisle but penned a permanent deal in January.
