Yeovil assistant manager Terry Skiverton says the enormity of the Glovers' achievements sunk in when running through their fixtures for the forthcoming season.
Playing in the Championship for the first time, Yeovil start the campaign with a trip to Millwall before Birmingham visit Huish Park.
Clashes with Derby, Reading and Burnley also await Gary Johnson's men before August is over and Skiverton cannot wait for the season to start.
"The anticipation had been massive for the supporters and everyone had been talking about it," he told Sky Sports News.
"It is really exciting and our first couple of games, one away to Millwall and hosting Birmingham will be a really exciting time for the supporters and something we are looking forward to as a management staff.
"The enormity of what we did last season really has hit home but then we realise the challenge that lies ahead.
"So you can't really rest on your laurels and celebrate too much as you have a job do to and it is the biggest test and challenge in Yeovil's history and one we have to look forward to."
